A new 8,000-square-foot civic space is under construction in Downtown Superior, with completion expected in late 2023 or early 2024. (See the Civic Space Floorplan Layout under "Key Documents" in the right column.) The Civic Space is roughly half the size in square footage of the Superior Community Center.
The 2-story public space includes an entry lobby, restrooms on both levels, an elevator, an interior stairway, and large glass overhead doors on each floor. Space has also been identified for a small warming or catering kitchen and office space for staff to operate the building.
Initial ideas for space usage include a library area, meeting space, studio/classroom space for classes and activities, and event and/or performance space.
The Town is seeking input from the community on potential uses. All ideas are welcome!
