Kindness can be a big gesture, a helping hand or a small moment that makes someone’s day a little better. During Kindness Week, Nov. 7-14, help recognize the people who make Superior a welcoming, caring community, and find simple ways to spread kindness around town.
Recognize someone who makes a difference
Has someone in Superior brightened your day, lent a helping hand or made a difference in your neighborhood? Nominate them for a Superior Kindness Award!
No act of kindness is too small. Recognize a neighbor, friend, coworker, volunteer or community member who has gone out of their way to help others or make Superior a better place.

With your permission, we may share selected stories in Hello Superior and other Town communications to help shine a light on the people and acts of kindness that make Superior a special place to live.
Seven Simple Ways to Share Kindness
You don’t need to plan something big to make a difference. Try one of these simple acts of kindness in your neighborhood or around Superior.
Say hello. Introduce yourself to a neighbor you haven’t met, or say hello when you pass someone on a walk.
Check in. Ask a neighbor, friend or older adult how they’re doing. A quick call, text or doorstep hello can mean a lot.
Lend a hand. Bring in a neighbor’s trash or recycling bins, carry groceries, or offer to help with a small task.
Leave a little kindness. Write a thank-you note for a mail carrier, delivery driver, teacher, volunteer or someone else who makes your day better.
Share what you have. Bring a neighbor a baked treat, share extra garden produce, or pass along something you no longer need.
Make someone’s walk a little better. Pick up litter, give someone a friendly wave, or invite a neighbor to join you on a walk along Superior’s multi-use paths and trails.
Thank someone who helps our community. Let a local business owner, volunteer, coach, neighbor, Town employee, or community member know you appreciate what they do. Send a quick thank-you, tell them in person, or nominate them for a Superior Kindness Award. (link to nomination form)
