The Town of Superior’s Transportation and Safety Committee (TSC) has received an application signed by seven residents for Traffic Calming Measures in the Castle Peak Avenue neighborhood south of Mount Sopris Way. The application expressed concerns regarding traffic speed as well as bike and pedestrian safety.

The Town collected speed data along Castle Peak Avenue near Windom Place in October 2023. The data showed that the average vehicle speed is 23 mph, with 15% of traffic going faster than 27 mph. See data summary below.

A neighborhood meeting will be held at the Superior Community Center on Monday, March 18, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Longs Peak Room to discuss traffic calming along Castle Peak Avenue south of Mt Sopris Way, and we would like your feedback prior to that meeting.
